Mit „Schichtwechsel“ zeigt La Felce erstmals Werke der Künstler Simon Modersohn und Daniele Toneatti in Köln. Der Titel lässt sich als offenes Motiv verstehen, das in beiden Positionen verschieden zum Tragen kommt – bei Toneatti in einer bildarchäologischen Praxis, bei Modersohn im Spannungsfeld von Architektur, Natur und subtilen atmosphärischen Verschiebungen. Beide Künstler setzen Innen und Außen jeweils auf eigene Weise in Beziehung – als visuelle Strategie, psychologisches Moment oder räumliche Erzählung.

With „Schichtwechsel“, La Felce presents the work of artists Simon Modersohn and Daniele Toneatti in Cologne for the first time. The title can be understood as an open motif that manifests differently in each artist’s work – in Toneatti’s case through a kind of image-archaeology, and in Modersohn’s through the tension between architecture, nature, and subtle atmospheric shifts. Both artists relate the concepts of interior and exterior in distinct ways – as visual strategy, emotional undercurrent, or spatial narrative.
